Julian Rocks Marine Reserve is world famous for its marine life. It is a sacred place for
the Aboriginal people, who believe the creator of this area lives underneath this island. It
is rated on the ten top dives in Australia,
Warm and cold water currents meet here resulting in a spectacular mix of tropical and
cold water fish creating one of the most abundant fish dives in the world. On most of our
dives, we see sharks like grey Nurse Sahrks in winter or Leopard Sharks in summer and
rays, large schools of pelagics, turtles as well as nudibranchs and a lot of smaller marine

Hello I’m Iñaki!

I have been working in Scuba Diving, my passion, for the last 20 years, both in Australia and overseas.

Originally from Spain, I came to Australia 25 years ago.

I lived in Sydney, where I ran a scuba diving school for ten years on the famous Bondi Beach.

After two years break travelling in a van around Australia, I decided to call Byron Bay home six years ago. Here I run my small business Diving Byron Bay.

Every day I take scuba divers from around the world in the magnificent waters of Julian Rocks, the iconic island of Byron Bay.

I feel a great satisfaction when people who have never dived, try diving and enjoy a unique experience in Australia.
